Roadrunner trains for hospice

SHE’S Roadrunner by name and roadrunner by nature.
Eagle Radio Love Crew member, Roadrunner, has signed up to run the Flora London Marathon on April 13 in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
Roadrunner is certainly no stranger to the sport, having been running since she was 11 and a member of Aldershot, Farnham and District Athletic Club for 12 years. She also trains at the Army stadium in Aldershot.
Roadrunner, who attended St Nicholas’s School in Church Crookham, said: “I’ve got to step up my marathon training – but having run the Fleet Half Marathon earlier this month, I’m confident I’ll be fit enough to complete the course.”
Roadrunner is hoping to raise £2,000 for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
The hospice’s marathon team also includes a doctor, a schoolteacher and an ex-footballer, who together aim to raise more than £40,000.
