Brave mum runs to help children

CUDDLES: Louise Tooze with her daughter Annabel

A BRAVE mum from Sandhurst will be running alongside 45,000 others in the Flora London Marathon on April 13.
Louise Tooze from Evesham Walk, Sandhurst, is running after losing her second child, six months into her pregnancy.
Louise took up running to help channel her sadness and cope with her grief.
She said: “Running has had such a positive effect on me. My runs changed from a simple 10 minute run to 20 minutes, 30, 45 and then one hour.
“During these times I felt connected to my son, Oliver, and as the months passed, my grief settled and my mood lifted.”
It was on one of these long runs that Louise decided to enter the Great South Run in Portsmouth last October for the charity SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support) raising £500 in memory of Oliver.
Louise now has a second daughter, Annabel, but has kept on running, typically 20 miles a week, and is now a member of Sandhurst Joggers.
For the London Marathon, Louise hopes to raise £2,000 for Get Kids Going!, which provides wheelchairs for disabled children and young people.
