PCSOs start up junior club

YOUNG residents in Aldershot have something else to do on Saturday afternoons thanks to PCSOs on the Rowhill beat.
A pilot of a new Junior PCSO club for eight to 14-year-olds has started every other Saturday from 1pm until 3pm.
The aim is to give youngsters the chance to see the different roles that police officers and PCSOs undertake.
So far children have visited Aldershot police station to see how it all works, and a trip to the area fire station is in the pipeline.
Youngsters are also being encouraged to contribute to the community by taking part in litter picks, sports and other fun activities.
Rowhill ward PCSO Jade Ostler said: “The aim of the youth club is to build up relationships between the police and the young people.
“It is a great way for the youngsters to engage in the community and have some fun too.”
The next club afternoon is on Saturday March 29. To join in, telephone PCSO Jade Ostler or PCSO Marie Park on 0845 045 4545 or email aldershot.snt@hampshire.pnn.police.uk
