Zone for youngsters

YOUNG people in the Mayfield and North Town areas of Rushmoor have somewhere new to meet and have fun.
Pavilion Housing has teamed up with the Gaming Zone to deliver more services for youngsters in the area, as part of a Hampshire Children’s Fund project.
Building on the early success of the Gaming Zone, a new project has been rolled out to five to 13-year-olds at the Mayfield Community Centre, Totland Close, Farnborough, and at the North Town Community Base in North Lane, Aldershot.
The Gaming Zone offers a safe environment for young people to socialise, play console games, and take part in other fun activities.
The new partnership with Pavilion will see the introduction of art and craft and sports based activities, as well as school holiday provision.  It will also encourage healthy living by offering a free ‘healthy tuck shop’ comprising of fruit smoothies, juices and a wide range of fresh fruits.
For information about the sessions, contact the Gaming Zone on 0788 759 6408
